What Zeffy does well
- It costs your organization nothing. Zeffy's pricing page says it costs $0, with nothing charged for the software, for transactions or for card processing. Zeffy makes its money from optional tips.
- Memberships with as many types as you need, automatic renewal, a reminder email 30 days before a yearly membership expires, and electronic membership cards.
- Any 501(c) type can use it, clubs and associations included, so a group does not need 501(c)(3) status. Forms can be in Spanish for US organizations.
What renuzy does for $24 a month
On price, Zeffy wins: it is free, and renuzy is not. Here is what the monthly price pays for.
- A report for each state or national body your club pays. renuzy counts the members you owe for on the counting date and prepares the report and the member file in the body's own column order. It reminds the treasurer 30 and 7 days before the money is due. We did not find this on the Zeffy pages we read.
- Buttons for your club's own Cash App, Zelle, Venmo and PayPal.Me, for members who already pay that way. Nothing counts until the treasurer approves it.
- The treasurer's books: a board report on the 1st, files for the accountant, and a guided handover when the treasurer changes.
- Members are never charged by renuzy. Your club pays the monthly price, and Stripe's fee on card payments.

Which one fits your club
If a free dues form is all your club needs, Zeffy is the cheaper choice. If your treasurer also counts members for a national body, takes Cash App and Zelle, and hands the books on each year, renuzy was built for that. renuzy is in early access and opens to clubs soon.
