Features
Everything renuzy does for your club.
Each part of renuzy in plain words: what it does, and who on your committee it helps. Everything marked ready at launch comes on every plan. Anything not built yet is at the bottom, labelled coming later.
Collect dues online
Members pay from their phone in a minute, into your club’s own Stripe account.
Who it helpsThe treasurer, and every member who would rather pay from a phone than write a check.
What you can do
- Join and renew pages that take card, Apple Pay and Google Pay, with no login for members
- Any dues setup: auto renew, families, member rates, discount codes, pay what you can, installments
- One person can pay for the whole household, and everyone in it is covered for the same dates
- Cash and checks recorded in seconds, with a receipt and an end of night tally
- A member who paid by check or in another app can tell you, and nothing counts until you approve it
- A check with no number is flagged on your reports, because the accountant will ask about it
Your member list
Everyone in one place, kept tidy, and yours to take with you.
Who it helpsThe membership chair and the treasurer.
What you can do
- Import from any spreadsheet, free on every plan. renuzy matches the columns and changes nothing until you say so
- Add a member in one step, with their household on separate lines and their payment in the same step
- A duplicate check by email, phone or nickname, so Bob and Robert do not end up as two people
- A record for each member with their details, household, payments, the events they came to and every email sent to them
- A data check that shows what is missing and would stop reminders, with one file to fix many records at once
- Sort, filter and download exactly the list you see, and export everything any time
- Every change is logged with a name and a date, so the next person can see what happened
Reminders that run themselves
Switch them on once, and renewals get chased without you.
Who it helpsThe membership chair and the treasurer.
What you can do
- A renewal reminder before each member’s date, and extra reminders after it if you want them
- Welcome, finish joining, win back and event reminder emails, each timed from what happened
- Each email goes to a person once and stops when they act, so nobody gets a win back email after renewing
- Email any group: current members, lapsed members, members past due, people who never joined, or everyone
- Sent as your club, with replies coming to you and a link to stop them in every email
- Change the words of any email so it sounds like your club
- People who opted out or whose email bounced are never written to
The treasurer’s cockpit and board reports
Know where the money stands without building a spreadsheet.
Who it helpsThe treasurer, the president and the board, and your accountant.
What you can do
- The cockpit: money in this month, money owed, what is due in the next 90 days and active members, against last year
- Alerts you choose, such as money owed going over $500, by email or on screen, checked every morning
- A club health score out of 100 with the reasons behind it, and a list of who needs a word
- A board report for any month, quarter or year that opens with a few plain sentences you can read out
- The report for the month just ended goes to you and your board on the 1st, by private link with no login
- For your accountant: the report, every payment as a spreadsheet and a ledger, on a schedule or when you send it
Member page and card
Every member has their card on their phone, with no app to download and no password.
Who it helpsMembers, and the treasurer, who gets fewer “am I paid up?” questions.
What you can do
- A card with their photo, whether they are paid up, their renewal date and a code to scan at the door
- The card updates itself every time they renew, and they can print it if they would rather
- One tap puts it on the home screen, and the same icon opens every club they belong to
- Their payments and receipts, with a Renew button and an I paid another way button
- Upcoming events with a map, an I am going button and Add to my calendar
- Your club’s website, social pages and member chat groups, and the meeting summaries you send
- A members directory if your club switches it on, where each member chooses whether they appear
Events and door mode
Know who is coming, and turn any phone into the check in desk.
Who it helpsWhoever is on the door, whoever runs the event, and the treasurer.
What you can do
- Add an event with a day, a time and a place, and the address becomes a map link for members
- Invite members by email with an I am going button, and see who is coming
- Door mode: scan cards with any phone camera, or type a name
- See at once who is paid up. Someone whose renewal is due shows yellow, and the treasurer can take cash or a check on the spot
- Count guests as they come in, with several volunteers on the door at once
- Attendance goes on each member’s record and into your club health score
Meetings
A page for every meeting, from the agenda to the summary members read.
Who it helpsThe secretary, the president and the board.
What you can do
- An agenda and notes that save themselves every few seconds, and two officers can work in the same notes without losing either text
- Mark who came, and when the meeting is linked to an event it counts toward attendance
- Action items with who and by when. That person gets one reminder two days before, and open items carry over to the next meeting
- Paste the recording link from Zoom, YouTube or Google Drive
- Draft a short summary from the notes, or from minutes you paste, upload or photograph. Nothing goes to members until an officer sends it
- A QR code for guests. They leave their name and can ask to hear about joining, and you see who went on to join
Extra giving
Members who want to give more than their dues can, and they get a receipt.
Who it helpsThe treasurer, and members who want to give a little more.
What you can do
- A member can add more than their dues when they pay
- A receipt for what they gave
- A year end statement of their giving
Handover and roles
When the treasurer changes, nothing is lost.
Who it helpsThe outgoing and incoming treasurer, the president, and every volunteer who helps.
What you can do
- Add the new treasurer by email. They get a sign in link, how the club is set up, and a short tour of the treasurer’s pages
- A handover checklist, including the item that matters most: whose bank account is on your club’s Stripe account
- The outgoing treasurer can switch to read only for 30 days, to answer questions without changing anything
- Roles for every helper: owner, treasurer, membership volunteer, and a read only view for the board
- Each person sees only what their role needs, so money stays with the people allowed to touch it
- Keep two owners on every club, so nobody is ever locked out
Help where you need it
The answer sits next to the thing you are looking at.
Who it helpsEvery volunteer, and most of all the one who is new to the job.
What you can do
- A small help icon beside every feature, with a one line tip and what it goes well with
- Short guides written for someone who signs in once a month
- A setup page that goes one step at a time, or set things up by replying to an email
- A three minute tour for every new treasurer, which you can open again any time
- A Help and ideas button on every page, to send a question or an idea from wherever you are
- Light and dark, on any phone, and it installs to the home screen like an app
