One amount, three shares
Graduate chapters, alumnae chapters and alumni clubs, NPHC graduate chapters among them, often collect one yearly amount that covers three bodies. Here is how one member's $400 might split, in an invented example:
| Share | Goes to | Amount |
|---|---|---|
| National dues | Headquarters | $190 |
| Per capita | The region | $10 |
| Local dues | Your chapter | $200 |
| Total | Paid by the member | $400 |
The chapter collects the $400, keeps its share and sends the rest on by each due date, with a list of the members it paid for. In renuzy, the $400 is a membership option, and headquarters and the region are each added as a body your chapter pays.
The report for headquarters
- Add each body once: its name, the amount per member, who counts, the counting date and the due date. You choose who counts, such as paid up members, members in their grace period or life members.
- On the counting date renuzy counts the members who qualify and keeps that list of names, so later changes do not move the number.
- It prepares the report and a member file, with the columns in the order the body asks for, to print or download.
- The amount owed shows on the treasurer's screen from 45 days before it is due. renuzy reminds the treasurer 30 days and 7 days before.
- Your chapter sends the money the way it does today, and you mark it paid with the check number.
If a member's dues include a share for another body, their receipt shows that share on its own line.
No money moves through renuzy. Your chapter pays headquarters and the region itself.
For chapters that collect by Cash App, Zelle, PayPal or Venmo
Add your chapter's own Cash App, Zelle, Venmo or PayPal.Me handle, and each member sees them as buttons on their Payments page. The member pays the chapter in that app, then taps the Tell the club button. Nothing counts until the treasurer approves it, and the money never passes through renuzy.
Members who would rather pay by card pay into your chapter's own Stripe account and get a receipt. Cash and checks at the chapter meeting are recorded in seconds.
One renewal date for the whole chapter
Set one renewal date for everyone, such as 1 November or 1 January, to match your dues year. For members who join partway through, your chapter picks the rule: pay for the months left, pay the full amount, or pay through the end of the next year.
Add a membership option for each rate you charge, such as a lower rate for recent graduates. Each member gets a reminder before the renewal date, sent as your chapter, and no reminder once they have paid.
Life members
Mark a life member once and renuzy never sends them a renewal reminder. They stay on your list under Comp or life. For each body your chapter pays, you choose whether life members count.
What renuzy does not do
- It does not add late fees or reinstatement fees.
- Installments come in 2, 3, 4 or 12 parts. Plans of 6 or 8 parts are not built.
- Reports run by calendar month, quarter and year. A report for a dues year that starts on 1 November is not built.
- It does not split one payment between your chapter and headquarters. The chapter collects the full amount and sends each share on.
If your chapter uses a free tool today
Some chapters collect dues on a free form. Zeffy, for one, says on its own pricing page that it costs $0 and makes its money from optional tips (checked 19 October 2026). If a free form is all your chapter needs, keep it. renuzy is for the treasurer who also counts members for headquarters, chases renewals and hands the books to the next treasurer. What it costs
$24 a month for up to 100 members and $29 for up to 300, with every feature on every plan. renuzy takes 0% of your dues. Stripe charges its own fee on card payments, currently 2.9% plus 30¢ on a US card. There are 2 months free, with no card to start. See the full price card.

Questions
Does renuzy send our national dues to headquarters?
No. renuzy counts the members you owe for, prepares the report and the member file, and reminds the treasurer 30 and 7 days before the due date. Your chapter sends the money itself and marks it paid with the check number.
Can members pay by Cash App or Zelle?
Yes. Add your chapter's Cash App, Zelle, Venmo or PayPal.Me handle and members see buttons on their Payments page. They pay the chapter in the app and tell you, and nothing counts until the treasurer approves it.
Is renuzy approved by our national organization?
No. renuzy is not affiliated with or endorsed by any fraternity, sorority, council or national organization. Check your national's rules before you choose any dues tool.
