For state and national bodies
Your chapters report to you once a year. Chasing them takes months.
Every spring somebody at your office opens a spreadsheet and starts emailing chapters. How many members did you have on the counting date. Have you sent your per member dues. It is the same twenty emails, over and over, to the chapters who have not answered. renuzy turns that into one page that is always current.
The one page
Open it and you already know who to chase.
Chapters are ordered by what they owe you. The ones who have not counted are first, then the ones who counted but have not paid, and the chapters who are square with you are at the bottom because they need nothing from you.
- Members counted on your counting date, taken automatically rather than whenever somebody got round to it
- What that chapter owes, worked out from your rate and its count
- What it has paid, and how many days past your deadline it is
- Whether it has answered you at all this year
- Total members reported, and how that compares with last year
- Total owed, total received, and what is still outstanding
- How many chapters have not counted yet, with a day count on each
- Your own rate, or a different rate for student or associate chapters
Reports
The numbers you have to produce for somebody else.
A federation office does not only chase chapters. It reports to a board, files with a state, and sometimes applies for a grant. Those numbers get rebuilt by hand every year from the same spreadsheet.
- Total membership across every chapter, on any date you choose
- Membership by year, so a board sees the trend rather than one number
- Chapters gained, chapters lost, and chapters that have gone quiet
- Remittance collected against remittance owed, by year
- The roster a chapter sent you, exactly as it sent it
- Chapters in trouble, a year early. A chapter whose membership has fallen by a third is usually on its way to folding, and most national offices find out when it stops paying. The counts make that visible while there is still time to do something about it.
The part worth reading twice
What a federation never sees.
Your chapters’ member names, email addresses and payment history are not yours to read. They belong to the chapter. renuzy shows you the count, the money and the dates, and nothing else.
You can invite a chapter. You cannot add one. An officer of that chapter accepts the link, and they can end it. A federation that could claim its chapters without asking would be a problem pretending to be a feature.
The one exception is the roster you already receive. If your rules say a chapter sends you a list of names at counting time, renuzy sends it, and the chapter can see that it did.
What your chapters get
Their own renuzy, not a window into yours.
Each chapter runs its own membership, collects its own dues into its own bank account, and keeps every dollar. renuzy takes none of it. The link to you shares the count and the remittance, which is what they already send you by hand.
- Dues collected online, with reminders that chase renewals without them
- Their member list in one place, brought in from the spreadsheet they have now
- The per member dues they owe you counted and ready on your date
- A handover that works, so next year’s treasurer inherits a system instead of a shoebox
- A chapter whose books are in order answers you in March instead of July
- Counting happens on your date automatically, so the number means the same thing every year
- When a chapter’s treasurer changes, your contact does not go dark
- A chapter that is easier to run is a chapter that does not fold
What it costs
Chapters pay by their own size. Federations pay by how many chapters.
- The ordinary renuzy price for their own member count, from $24 a month
- 0% of their dues. Stripe charges its own card fee and none of it comes to us
- Their whole price card is locked for as long as they stay, so a chapter that grows pays today’s price for its new size, not tomorrow’s
- Priced on a card of its own, banded by the number of chapters, because a body with 500 chapters is not a club with 500 members
- The same lock: whatever band you join on is the band you keep
- Tell us how many chapters you have and we will tell you the number. No call required to get a price
Said plainly
What is ready, and what is not.
renuzy is new. The chapter side is built: dues, members, reminders, reports, handover. The federation view is being built now, and we will not pretend otherwise to win a conversation.
Which is the reason to talk to us this year rather than next. What a federation office actually needs from that page is still being decided, and the bodies we speak to now are the ones deciding it.
Talk to us
Tell us about your body and we will come back to you.
This goes to Jeremiah, who built renuzy. You get a reply from a person, not a sequence, and nobody is added to a mailing list.
We use your details to answer you about your federation and nothing else. No list, no sequence, no card.
