What dues software is for
Taking a card payment was never the hard part. The hours go into everything around it: the spreadsheet of who paid, the reminder emails, the list of who still owes, and the handover when the treasurer steps down. Good dues software does that part, so a volunteer can look after the money in an evening a month.
Five things to check before you choose
- Where the money goes. Member payments should land in your club's own account. With renuzy, members pay into your club's own Stripe account and the money never passes through us.
- Whether it takes a cut. Some tools add a percentage of every payment on top of the monthly fee. renuzy takes 0% of your dues, on every plan. Stripe charges its own card fee, currently 2.9% plus 30¢ on a US card, and that fee goes to Stripe.
- What members have to do. Every extra step costs renewals. renuzy members tap a link, pay with a card, Apple Pay or Google Pay, and get a receipt. No account, no app, no password.
- Who it counts. If the bill grows with every name on your list, clubs start deleting lapsed members to save money. renuzy counts the members who are paying you. Everyone else on your list is free.
- Whether you can leave. You should be able to export everything, any time, in a file you can open. You can with renuzy, and cancelling is one click from your billing page.
