What the member does
- They tap the link in your renewal email, or the Pay dues button on your club's website.
- They see what they owe and pay with a card, Apple Pay or Google Pay.
- They get a receipt by email.
They do not need an account, an app or a password.
Where the money goes
Into your club's own Stripe account, then to your club's bank account on Stripe's payout schedule. It never passes through renuzy, and we take 0% of it. Your club pays renuzy its monthly price, and members are never charged by renuzy.
The bank account on Stripe should be the club's, never an officer's own. Check it whenever a treasurer changes.
What Stripe charges
Stripe's own pricing page lists 2.9% plus 30ยข for each card payment on a US card, and 1.5% more for an international card (read on 27 October 2026). Here is what that means for a few dues amounts on a US card:
| Dues paid | Stripe's fee | Your club receives |
|---|---|---|
| $30 | $1.17 | $28.83 |
| $50 | $1.75 | $48.25 |
| $100 | $3.20 | $96.80 |
| $200 | $6.10 | $193.90 |
renuzy adds nothing to these. Stripe's pricing page has the full list, and Stripe's fees can change.
Setting it up
An owner or the treasurer goes to Online payments and presses Connect with Stripe. Have ready your club's name, the bank account the money should go to, and the name of the person who looks after it. Stripe asks for the rest on its own form. Already have a Stripe account? Keep it, and connect it.
Members who pay another way
Checks and cash are recorded by an officer in seconds, with a receipt. Your club's own Venmo, PayPal, Cash App and Zelle handles can show as buttons too. How to record them.
Questions
How long until the money reaches our bank?
Stripe pays it into your club's bank account on its own payout schedule, which your club's Stripe account shows.
Who can connect Stripe?
Only an owner or the treasurer, because it is about the club's money.
What happens if a payment is refunded or disputed?
It is marked as returned without wiping the member's history, and the member moves to their grace period. Stripe charges its own fee on a dispute.
