The records belong to the club
Members, payments, notes and reports live in the club's renuzy account, not in anyone's own files. Every change is logged with a name and a date, so the next person can see what happened and why.
Handing over to a new treasurer
- Go to Handover and press Hand over to a new treasurer.
- Type the new treasurer's name and email.
- Choose what happens to your own access and from which day: read only for 30 days and then removed, or removed.
- Press Start the changeover.
- Work down the steps together: the handover pack, Stripe, the bank, where member replies go, and whose card pays for renuzy.
The new treasurer gets a sign in link, how the club is set up, and one short task a day for their first week. On the day you picked, renuzy changes your access by itself.
The step that matters most
If the bank account on your club's Stripe account is a past treasurer's own account, change it in Stripe that day. renuzy cannot change the bank for you.
Other officers
Give each helper a role that fits: owner, treasurer, membership volunteer, or a read only view for the board. Each person sees only what their role needs, so money stays with the people allowed to touch it.
Keep two owners on every club, so nobody is ever locked out. When someone leaves the board, remove them from your report list and their report links stop working.
What does not change
Your price lock belongs to the club, so it carries on through a change of treasurer. Our free treasurer handover checklist and records retention schedule work with or without renuzy.
Questions
How long does a handover take?
About a week, a little each day.
What if the treasurer leaves with nobody to take over?
On Handover, under Who has access, they can step down next to their own name. Keep a second owner so the club is never left without one.
