Members and giving, kept apart and both receipted
Members can add a gift when they pay their dues, or give through a public give page to the funds you name. Every gift gets a receipt, and a year end statement is prepared in January and sent only after an officer approves it. Gifts by check or cash can be recorded too. Gifts are kept apart from dues and never change membership status.
Lectures, tours and open days
Add an event with a day, a time and a place, invite members by email, and see who is coming. Sell tickets with member and guest prices, or take reservations to pay at the door. On the day, any phone becomes the check in desk, and attendance lands on each member's record.
Docents and volunteers
Add shifts with a role, a time and how many people you need. Members sign up from their page or an email link, get a reminder the day before and on the day, and can check themselves in. Officers confirm hours, and the report adds them up by member, month and role.
The paperwork, on one calendar
Your society's filings, such as the IRS 990-N, a state annual report, insurance and the annual meeting, sit on one 12 month calendar with reminders 30 days and 7 days before each date. renuzy never says whether your society must file, and none of it is legal or tax advice. Our free guide to the 990-N in plain words explains the basics.
